Again the order to release 3000 cusecs of water to Tamilnadu every day, farmers are outraged

In the Cauvery Water Management Authority meeting held on Friday regarding the distribution of Cauvery river water, it has also ordered to release 3000 cusecs of water daily till October 15.

Many organizations, including pro-Kannada organizations and farmers, called for a Karnataka bandh today, demanding that Cauvery water not flow to Tamil Nadu. This is the second bandh in a week demanding not to supply water to Tamil Nadu.

The CWMA has instructed Tamil Nadu to comply with the order given by the Cauvery Water Control Committee (CWRC) on Tuesday to release 3,000 cusecs of water every day for 15 days.

The government should talk about this issue. Government should inform your opinion within 6 pm. Farmers protested that otherwise the form of struggle would change, Mandya District Farmers' Welfare Committee workers blocked Bangalore Mysore Highway and protested.

Karnataka had to release 123 tmc of water from June to September. However, only 40 TMC of water has been released so far. Officials in favor of the Tamil Nadu government argued in the CWMA meeting that the remaining 83 TMC of water should be directed to be released.

Officials from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala Puducherry participated in it. In this meeting, the recommendation of the Cauvery Water Management Committee was reviewed and an order was issued to release 3000 cusecs of water every day till August 15.

The pro-Kannada organizations who have called for a complete Karnataka Bandh to protest against the flow of water to Tamil Nadu are protesting and fighting like the state and the Karnataka Bandh is going on almost successfully.
